Hi all, We have two kids and Crime rate is something to consider -Corvallis sits at 129.6 per 100K. Poverty rate is 10.1%, which is around average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What do you all think? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is nightlife. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.
I've been here 12 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into running, this place is improving.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the Westside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
No regrets on my end..
