Hello, I relocated for work and With a population of 11,056, Coshocton is a small town. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Does this match your experience? Any help is appreciated.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Boston about 5 years ago. The main reasons were weather and retirement.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are established, gas is improving.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.
I've been here 4 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is pretty good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Meadowbrook side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been here 3 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is challenging.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
