Is it worth buying in Coshocton?

So, My partner and I are Poverty rate is 15.9%, which is higher than I expected. With a population of 11,056, Coshocton is a small town. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. It's a a small town city with about 11,056 people. The unemployment rate is 4.6%, which is about average. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to.

Pros:
- Friendly people
- Low crime in most areas
- Good schools
- Close to nature
- Lots of new development

Cons:
- Sprawl everywhere
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Far from major airports
- Homelessness issues downtown
Would love some local perspective. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a contractor, 29, moved here 4 years ago from Miami. I've lived in Oak Park and Sunset, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Good schools in most areas
2. Low crime in most neighborhoods
3. Nice parks and green spaces
4. The people are generally excellent - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Not a lot of cultural diversity
2. Far from beaches/mountains
3. The pet-friendliness situation is established and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Oak Park: Great for families. surprisingly good vibes, walkable.
- Sunset: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Miami, everything felt pretty good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are manageable. Gas is competitive. You can live comfortably on $50K-$70K here.

**Final verdict:**
Give it a chance - it might surprise you.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

I've lived in South for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights
- The dating scene scene is average

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited high-paying job options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for singles. Happy to answer more specific questions..
