Remote worker thinking about Coshocton

Curious what people think. I'm a nurse at the local hospital and With a population of 11,056, Coshocton is a small town. The unemployment rate is 4.6%, which is about average. Crime rate is something to consider -Coshocton sits at 305.0 per 100K. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I wrong here? The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a physical therapist, 36, moved here 14 years ago from Tampa. I've lived in Uptown and Eastside, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Great outdoor activities nearby
2. Friendly community, easy to meet people
3. Lots of new development happening
4. The people are generally average - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Chain restaurants dominate
2. Can feel isolated
3. The housing market situation is growing and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Uptown: Great for families. underrated vibes, walkable.
- Eastside: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Tampa, everything felt solid. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are established. Gas is stable. You can live comfortably on $90K-$70K here.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Highland for 11 years. Moved from Tampa for cost of living. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is challenging. We bought in 2017 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable.

**Employment:**
real estate is strong here. retail is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are stable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's not perfect but it works for me. The outdoor scene is better than expected - we have hiking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Highland schools are decent. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Summers can be brutally hot. Limited shopping options. And cultural scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
