Been meaning to ask this. Crime rate is something to consider -Coshocton sits at 305.0 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 4.6%, which is about average. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Thanks in advance! Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. the quality of life is solid. Internet is improving in most areas.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's exactly what I was looking for. The only thing I'd watch out for is cost of living. Other than that, Hope this helps!.

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.

We moved here with our family and I genuinely enjoy living here. Schools in Meadowbrook area are better than expected. Kids love it here.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Springfield for 15 years. Moved from Dallas for family. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is surprisingly good. We bought in 2017 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.
**Employment:**
healthcare is strong here. consulting is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are established for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
it's improved dramatically in recent years. The outdoor scene is solid - we have hiking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Springfield schools are decent. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Traffic during rush hour is rough. Far from beaches/mountains. And weather can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 7/10. Would recommend to anyone considering it.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The pet-friendliness is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.
I've been here 6 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is better than expected.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
