Best companies to work for in Costa Mesa?

Hi all, Rent is about $2,395/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $1,054,700 on average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Am I wrong here? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Sunset. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in government. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to San Francisco it's improving.

I've lived in Old Town for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The healthcare scene is tough

The downsides:
- Bugs and humidity in summer
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for couples. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Greenfield for 13 years. Moved from Pittsburgh for work. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is surprisingly good. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.

**Employment:**
finance is strong here. marketing is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are wild for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I genuinely enjoy living here. The outdoor scene is challenging - we have lakes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Greenfield schools are improving. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Nightlife is limited. Chain restaurants dominate. And public transit can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For couples, I'd say this is a 7/10. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
