Hello, Poverty rate is 5.2%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $1,054,700 on average. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Looking forward to hearing from you all. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want food scene, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Bought a house here in 2015 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone about the same since then.

I've lived in Midtown for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Active local events and festivals
- The pet-friendliness scene is surprisingly good
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited high-paying job options
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a nurse who relocated here from LA about 6 years ago. The main reasons were weather and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Lots of new development happening
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Road conditions need improvement
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are reasonable, gas is surprisingly good.
Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. No regrets on my end..
