First time home buyer in Costa Mesa

Alright, I work in logistics and The unemployment rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $110,073, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's a a mid-size city city with about 111K people. The median home value here is around $1,054,700, which is pretty steep. Poverty rate is 5.2%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Low crime in most areas
- Easy commute
- Lots of new development
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Hot summers
- Rising rent prices
- High property taxes
- Few job opportunities in some fields
Is this normal for Costa Mesa? Cheers. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Raleigh about 2 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Close to major attractions
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are affordable, gas is improving.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Definitely worth checking out..

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The public transit is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..
