Starting a business in Cotati?

OK so We're a young couple and Household incomes average around $112,841 in Cotati. Crime rate is something to consider -Cotati sits at 523.5 per 100K. Poverty rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Should I be concerned? Cheers. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Came here for school and stayed because it was the best decision I ever made. The healthcare is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Used to live on the Maple Ridge side, now on the Greenfield side. Completely different vibe. I genuinely enjoy living here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Seattle about 8 years ago. The main reasons were work and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are competitive, gas is underrated.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
