Anyone work in healthcare in Cottage Grove?

Been meaning to ask this. My family moved here when I was a kid. Homes are going for about $318,800 on average. Rent is about $1,031/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $1,031 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 10,630 people. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Any advice would be great. Thanks for reading. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 13 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 6 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
