Poverty rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Has anyone dealt with this? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a teacher who relocated here from Phoenix about 4 years ago. The main reasons were family and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Close to major attractions
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Not very walkable outside downtown
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are competitive, gas is improving.
Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Feel free to reach out with questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Greenfield. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in legal. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.
People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Thai.
