Best hidden gems in Cottonwood Heights

Hi all, The unemployment rate is 2.1%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $116,583 in Cottonwood Heights. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Should I be concerned? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 10 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is excellent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Cedar Grove. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in tech. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Definitely worth checking out..
