Best hidden gems in Cottonwood Heights

Been meaning to ask this. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. Homes are going for about $641,900 on average. Household incomes average around $116,583 in Cottonwood Heights. Crime rate is something to consider -Cottonwood Heights sits at 158.0 per 100K. The median home value here is around $641,900, which is pretty steep. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Good job market
- Nice parks and trails
- Growing food scene
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Cold winters
- Homelessness issues downtown
- Not enough green space
Am I overthinking this? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is outdoor recreation. Other than that, Feel free to reach out with questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 1 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good healthcare facilities

Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are wild, gas is pretty good.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
