Is Council Bluffs getting better or worse?

I grew up here but left for a while. With a population of 62,564, Council Bluffs is a smaller city. The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. Worth the trade-offs? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good.
