Should I move to Council Bluffs or stay in Sacramento?
Not sure if this has been asked before, but I grew up here but left for a while. Household incomes average around $64,092 in Council Bluffs. Homes are going for about $164,300 on average. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Phoenix about 3 years ago. The main reasons were work and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Summers can be brutally hot
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are growing, gas is average.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Happy to answer more specific questions..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is community vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.
