Anyone else feel this way? Household incomes average around $79,506 in Country Club. Average temperature is around 64--F, so the weather is moderate. Crime rate is something to consider -Country Club sits at 1,331.5 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 5.0%, which is about average. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Am I wrong here? Cheers. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Greenfield for 1 years. Moved from Austin for retirement. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is solid. We bought in 2016 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.
**Employment:**
legal is strong here. healthcare is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are manageable for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
it's been a really good experience overall. The outdoor scene is better than expected - we have biking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Greenfield schools are underrated. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not very walkable outside downtown. Far from beaches/mountains. And walkability can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 6/10. Good luck with whatever you decide.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Public transit is excellent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 15 years here, that's my honest assessment.

As someone who grew up here, the quality of life is solid. A lot has changed in the past few years though. healthcare used to be much pricey but now it's solid.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Downtown. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in government. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.
People: Generally challenging. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Indian.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The walkability is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..
