Anyone else love living in Country Club?

Hey, Average temperature is around 77--F, so it's warm year-round. The city has invested a lot in new development. Does this match your experience? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Used to live on the The Heights side, now on the Oak Park side. Completely different vibe. it's been a really good experience overall.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Oak Park. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Came here for family and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The weather is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Used to live on the Eastside side, now on the Riverside side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.
