Planning a move to Country Club -neighborhoods?

Hello, Homes are going for about $340,900 on average. Average temperature is around 77--F, so it's warm year-round. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Does this match your experience? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is pretty good in most areas.

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. safety used to be much manageable but now it's hit or miss.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Portland about 11 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are reasonable, gas is underrated.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Happy to answer more specific questions..
