Starting a business in Country Club?

I work in media and It's a a smaller city city with about 51,000 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Country Club sits at 68.1 per 100K. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 11 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

I've lived in South for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- The cultural scene scene is tough

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
