Is Country Club Hills walkable?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I relocated for work and The unemployment rate is 5.4%, which is about average. Household incomes average around $48,132 in Country Club Hills. It's a a small town city with about 1,017 people. Median household income is $48,132, which feels on the lower side for the area. Homes are going for about $49,400 on average. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. Would love some local perspective. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to Houston it's underrated.

I've lived in Highland for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Close to major attractions
- The cultural scene scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I'm a HR manager and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. The community is underrated and there's always something going on.
