Is Country Homes good for remote workers?

OK so Rent is about $1,193/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $1,193 for rent here. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Worth the trade-offs? Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Used to live on the Westside side, now on the West side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

I'm a writer and I've found I love the pace of life here. The community is better than expected and there's always something going on.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Downtown. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in construction. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Indian.

No regrets on my end..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from Miami about 11 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Lots of new development happening
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are stable, gas is pretty good.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The nightlife is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..
