Hey folks, I'm a college student here and It's a a smaller city city with about 50,143 people. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a writer who relocated here from Chicago about 5 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and a job opportunity.
Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are wild, gas is pretty good.
Socially, I love the pace of life here. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Hot take but there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. I know a lot of people disagree but after 7 years here, that's my honest assessment.
