Commute times in Covington -how bad?

Hey folks, I grew up here but left for a while. The median home value here is around $167,900, which is actually reasonable. Rent is about $949/month for a decent place. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Worth the trade-offs?

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in West. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in tech. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
