How is the nightlife in Covington?

I'm a 38-year-old writer and Crime rate is something to consider -Covington sits at 465.9 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $949 for rent here. Average temperature is around 55--F, so expect cold winters. With a population of 40,902, Covington is a smaller city. The median home value here is around $167,900, which is actually reasonable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 8 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because it exceeded my expectations. The healthcare is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've been living here for 7 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The school system is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is weather. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've been here 6 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Oak Park side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..
