Is Coweta getting better or worse?

Poverty rate is 8.6%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Coweta sits at 229.6 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 10,157 people. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Pros:
- Friendly people
- Easy commute
- Lots of new development
- Plenty of shopping options
- Active local events

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Limited nightlife
- Sprawl everywhere
- Limited dining options
- Not enough green space
Am I overthinking this? The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Meadowbrook. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in retail. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Italian.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's exactly what I was looking for. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cost of living, then yeah this place is great. But if food scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is walkability. the quality of life is solid. Worth doing your research before committing.
