Housing in Coxsackie compared to Miami

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Crime rate is something to consider -Coxsackie sits at 407.1 per 100K. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Thoughts? Cheers. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Used to live on the Riverside side, now on the Downtown side. Completely different vibe. it was the best decision I ever made.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in North. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in real estate. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

No regrets on my end..

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. community vibe used to be much wild but now it's average.

Weather-wise, the summers are pretty good and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.
