Affordable areas near Cramerton?

OK so I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Poverty rate is 2.9%, which is pretty low. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Thoughts? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I work in consulting here and it's exactly what I was looking for. The job market for my field is challenging. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value traffic, you'll love it. The dating scene is genuinely solid and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Lakewood) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Francisco, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Homeless population growing downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Charlotte about 2 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are manageable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Definitely worth checking out..
