Crane quality of life -am I missing something?

Curious what people think. The median home value here is around $128,400, which is actually reasonable. The suburbs are where most families end up. Should I be concerned? Thanks for reading. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The outdoor recreation scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for families. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
