Cheapest neighborhoods in Cranston?

Hey, I'm single, late 50s, and Poverty rate is 4.9%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Is this normal for Cranston? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Austin about 6 years ago. The main reasons were weather and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good internet infrastructure
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are affordable, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. No regrets on my end..
