Studio apartments in Cranston -options?

First post here. I'm single, late 30s, and Poverty rate is 4.9%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Cranston sits at 155.9 per 100K. The median home value here is around $348,800, which seems about average. With a population of 82,632, Cranston is a smaller city. Rent is about $1,332/month for a decent place. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Growing food scene
- Low taxes
- Strong sense of community
- Walkable downtown

Cons:
- Sprawl everywhere
- Limited dining options
- High property taxes
- Far from major airports
Would love some local perspective. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 13 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

We moved here with our family and I genuinely enjoy living here. Schools in Meadowbrook area are challenging. Kids love it here.

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's not perfect but it works for me.
