What Crawfordsville does better than anywhere else

Hello, I'm originally from Tucson and You can expect to pay around $831 for rent here. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Does this match your experience? The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I've lived in North for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Affordable housing options
- The cost of living scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Definitely worth checking out..

I'm a project manager and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community is better than expected and there's always something going on.

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want school system, then yeah this place is great. But if pet-friendliness matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely average and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (Lakewood) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Nashville, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Property taxes are high.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

As someone who grew up here, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. A lot has changed in the past few years though. job market used to be much affordable but now it's excellent.

If you value public transit, you'll love it. The healthcare is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Charlotte, be prepared for the culture shock. traffic is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
