Credit River in the winter -how bad?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Military spouse here. You can expect to pay around $890 for rent here. Homes are going for about $577,600 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Credit River sits at 92.9 per 100K. With a population of 5,531, Credit River is a small town. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to.
