Hello, I'm a college student here and Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Crime rate is something to consider -Crest Hill sits at 267.9 per 100K. The median home value here is around $222,600, which is actually reasonable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. Am I overthinking this? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
