OK so Median household income is $79,378, which feels about average for the area. The unemployment rate is 2.9%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $363,500 on average. With a population of 10,431, Crestline is a small town. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. What would you do? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Sunset. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in real estate. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Indian.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Hot take but it's been a really good experience overall. I know a lot of people disagree but after 6 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.

I've lived in South for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The job market scene is excellent
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Can feel isolated
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've been living here for 6 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The public transit is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I'm a nurse and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. The community is pretty good and there's always something going on.
