Things Creston needs to improve

Hello, My family moved here when I was a kid. The median home value here is around $155,300, which is actually reasonable. Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. It's a a small town city with about 2,246 people. Poverty rate is 1.3%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. Any help is appreciated. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
