Relocating to Crestwood, MO -pros and cons?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a writer who relocated here from San Diego about 1 years ago. The main reasons were family and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Decent public transit for the size
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are growing, gas is underrated.
Socially, I love the pace of life here. Definitely worth checking out..
