Cheapest neighborhoods in Creswell?

Anyone else feel this way? Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. The unemployment rate is 0.5%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $95,865, which feels pretty solid for the area. With a population of 5,625, Creswell is a small town. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Anyone in a similar situation? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value job market, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely excellent and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (Downtown) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Tampa, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Chain restaurants dominate.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I work in real estate here and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market for my field is challenging. Happy to answer more specific questions..

If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The weather is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Eastside) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 15 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The public transit is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

I've lived in Westside for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The public transit scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Midtown. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in engineering. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are average, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
