Couple moving to Creswell from out of state

Alright, I'm a 46-year-old graphic designer and With a population of 5,625, Creswell is a small town. Homes are going for about $355,100 on average. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Worth the trade-offs? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Used to live on the Midtown side, now on the Maple Ridge side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Seattle about 4 years ago. The main reasons were weather and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are manageable, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Happy to answer more specific questions..
