How is Creve Coeur for outdoor activities?

First post here. I grew up here but left for a while. With a population of 18,643, Creve Coeur is a small town. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What are your go-to spots?

Weather-wise, the summers are hit or miss and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.
