Crivitz quality of life -am I missing something?

Curious what people think. What are your go-to spots? Any help is appreciated. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 11 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to New York it's hit or miss.

Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are surprisingly good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Bought a house here in 2016 and I love the pace of life here. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Pine Hills. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in government. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.
