Crookston quality of life -am I missing something?
Hi all, We have two kids and You can expect to pay around $827 for rent here. Homes are going for about $160,700 on average. It's a a small town city with about 7,388 people. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

- Active local events

- Hot summers
- Rising rent prices
- Boring for young people
- Limited cultural events

Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
