Rent is about $470/month for a decent place. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Let me know your thoughts. TIA! The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'm a real estate agent and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. The community is average and there's always something going on.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is safety. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.

I work in manufacturing here and it's been a really good experience overall. The job market for my field is challenging. Hope this helps!.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is solid in most areas.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it exceeded my expectations. Compared to Portland it's underrated.

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is food scene. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely excellent and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Portland, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
