Crowley job market vs Denver

I'm retired and Average temperature is around 68--F, so the weather is moderate. The median home value here is around $141,800, which is actually reasonable. Poverty rate is 33.8%, which is higher than I expected. Median household income is $27,826, which feels on the lower side for the area. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Am I overthinking this? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's improved dramatically in recent years. The only thing I'd watch out for is cost of living. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is tough in most areas.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 8 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..
