How are the schools in Crowley?

Been meaning to ask this. You can expect to pay around $560 for rent here. With a population of 11,554, Crowley is a small town. Crime rate is something to consider -Crowley sits at 1,251.9 per 100K. Average temperature is around 68--F, so the weather is moderate. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. Anyone in a similar situation? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Austin about 9 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Close to major attractions
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Dating scene is rough
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are wild, gas is decent.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Public transit is average here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Hot take but it's been a really good experience overall. I know a lot of people disagree but after 3 years here, that's my honest assessment.

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. safety used to be much competitive but now it's excellent.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.
