Rent vs buy in Crown Point -what makes sense?

Curious what people think. Just moved here 15 months ago and Household incomes average around $95,757 in Crown Point. It's a a smaller city city with about 34,042 people. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Am I overthinking this?

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is decent in most areas.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 14 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Oak Park side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to Tampa it's better than expected.
