Best and worst neighborhoods in Croydon

Curious what people think. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. Poverty rate is 13.1%, which is around average. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. What do you all think? The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Phoenix it's decent.

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is food scene. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Tampa about 12 years ago. The main reasons were work and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good healthcare facilities
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are affordable, gas is improving.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. No regrets on my end..

Came here for cost of living and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The cultural scene is honestly hit or miss and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I have mixed feelings honestly. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
