How is the nightlife in Croydon?
Am I wrong here? The suburbs are where most families end up.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Raleigh about 6 years ago. The main reasons were weather and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Can feel isolated
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are manageable, gas is hit or miss.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
