First post here. We have two kids and It's a a small town city with about 22,685 people. The median home value here is around $280,500, which seems about average. With a population of 22,685, Crystal is a small town. You can expect to pay around $1,437 for rent here. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Any advice would be great. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
