Why I chose Cudahy over bigger cities

Hey folks, I relocated for work and The unemployment rate is 5.5%, which is about average. Crime rate is something to consider -Cudahy sits at 373.5 per 100K. The median home value here is around $505,300, which is pretty steep. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. What are your go-to spots? The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 10 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The South side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Feel free to reach out with questions..
