Cullman is underrated, change my mind

Curious what people think. My family moved here when I was a kid. The unemployment rate is 1.7%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Cullman sits at 172.4 per 100K. Homes are going for about $215,200 on average. It's a a small town city with about 18,894 people. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Appreciate any input. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Houston it's average.
